Title:All These Colours
Label:Weevil Series
Another mark on the map of the Weevil Neighbourhood. After the recent excursion into the intensely droney yet fragile and unstable musique concrete of Repetition/Distract, the enigmatic German label continues charting the unknown terrain with eyes closed and ears wide open. This vinyl release coded BLINDFOLD comes as a mid-tempo two-tracker from an artist who wants to stay anonymous. A side 'All Those Colours...' is a dub-techno inspired piece that contrasts laid-back soundscapes with a broken beat and hectic hi-hats that converge with large rooms of reverberation. '...We Cannot See', the counterpart on side B, contrasts static drum work with shuffling breaks and early hardcore sounds with noisey drones that frostily cover more or less the whole piece. Very limited pressing.

Title:Adult EP
Label:Weevil Series
The Weevil Series consists of three 12" records, released through the middle months of 2010. It is not meant to be a new label nor is it part of any other. Instead of catalogue numbers, all three records have a "protagonist", each one of three development stages of a weevil - Larva, Pupa, Adult. The records are produced in a hand-numbered and stamped limited edition of 300 each. The final part of the series will be available in mid-September, completing the trilogy in emphatic fashion with 3 more un-named journeys into rolling sub-bass waves and industrialised atmospheres initiated in a clandestine Berlin studio. A1 is a four-minute beatless wash of drone, echo and vibrating static, propelled by a pulsing throb like blood pumping behind the listener's eyeballs. A2 is a metronomic sprial through escalating layers of rhythm and backwards edits, and finally B1 is a towering manifestation of oscillating low frequencies and rumbling beats that could be described as "dubstep" in the same way that Everest is "tall" or granite is "hard".
