Title:Non Stop Funk EP
Label:Funk Weapons
Rory Hoy delivers a well rounded EP to the Funk Weapons label. Starting off with 'La Lyrica 2011' which takes on Freddy Fresh's classic tune and updates with a few surprise twists and turns.

Next up we have 'Non-Stop' which is a solid ghetto-funk tune, complete with wonky bass and really hard hitting drums. On the Flip we start out with 'Bad Ass'; which is another ghetto-funk tune this time using a more solid sine wave bass and some up-front funky horn blasts and that awesome refrain 'bad ass is as bad ass does'.

Next up Rockmaster Rus B takes 'Bad Ass' up a few rave levels and adds in some serious wobble to make the whole thing jump. Finally we Rory drops 'Breakdown in Paris' which is a bit of a house meets breaks type tune, with a killer breakdown which will have you top rockin' deep into the night.

Title:Revive The Message
Label:Funk Weapons
Kool Hertz drops a well rounded sample heavy EP for Funk Weapons 25th release. Revive the Message takes us back to the old school New York boom bap, with ill loops from Trouble Funk, Pleasure and lyrical pressure from the one and only Guru (R.I.P.). Connected gets all Stereo on us, flipping that classic groove for the 2000's and making it a mad jump up club jammer. Love Fuzz gets all middle eastern on us, with cranking beats, deep bass, slick sitar and a message of love. Finally, Hottstepper brings that raw ghetto-funk flavor to the mix and is the most up-front club track of the EP. All in all you have an EP the represents the roots of Funk Weapons, with this vinyl only offering we hope that the wax junkies will enjoy this exclusive Funk Weapons in their arsenal.

Title:Work It Out EP
Label:Funk Weapons
For our 24th release we wanted to go back to our classic Funk Weapons roots, and to do that we bring you Mash & Munkee aka David Hanke & Kolja Starkowski from Germany. They have produced three slices of supreme nu-funk goodness for all you break beat loving freaks. First off we start with 'Work it Out', a full on funk fest of horns, funky bass, and enough cracking break-beats to satisfy the nimblest of b-boys. 'Giving you the Funk' does just that, complete with a jumping live bass-line, building horns and hip hop vocals and groove that eventually builds up to a nice fat synth bass-line that takes the track to the next level. 'Make A Difference' gets all Ron Burgundy on us with some funky flute and smooth blaxplotation style horns and of course another funky bass-line to keep the kids body rocking. Finally we round out the package with Neighbour's remix of 'Make a Difference', who remixes the track in his signature future-boogie style, complete with honking bass-line and smooth chords and injects back in the horns and flute to make the whole thing jam perfect for those late night roller-disco vibes.

Title:Night Owl EP
Label:Funk Weapons
"Night Owl" the lead track is a throwback style disco rap track that just rocks out with some serious slap bass and disco space sounds, while Think Tank gets all old school on the mic. The All Good Funk Alliance provide the remix and take the track in a more breaks direction but still keep enough of that old school flavor to keep the party going. On the flip Think Tank drops some science over some dubby cranking synth bass on "Photo Synth", one of the most interesting tracks that we have ever put out. And finally "Get Up" get all broken beat meets electro with Think Tank urging you to just get up, get up, get up!

Title:Human Race EP
Label:Funk Weapons
Eddie Noon and James Reid whom make up the group Debtonate sent us with a track called "Human Race" a couple of months ago. The tune has been tested on all sorts of crowds, and they were blown away by the positive response. Debtonate have a unique production style, we like that they takes simple elements and makes them elegant yet funky which keeps the tracks interesting all the way through. The title track "Human Race" is a 130bpm barrage of swinging breaks, chunky guitar, tons of interesting vocals and great filter work. This track just kills for peak-time sets and its one of those rare tracks that can match the high energy of the more banging electro stuff. The second track. "Party Packer" takes a slower pace, and has some cool electro elements which are perfect for those poppers and lockers out there. On the flip, they have enlisted the help of their good pal Neighbour, whom takes the track in a more disco-house route. He slows the whole jam down, and really works the guitar in and out with his signature squiggly bass sound. Dj Love, provides the final remix, where he keeps the tempo banging and bringing in a bit more classic American break-beat flavor to the mix. We like his use of tension which really makes his remix breath a bit before rocking out.
