The Revolution EP is a collection of deep, progressive tech - dripping with soul. If you could record the sound of sunrise after a rave in the Mojave desert, this is no doubt how it would sound... from the intricate programming and euphorics of Connection, to the post-dubstep minimal tension of Farmilliar, Ion Driver's music is broad, unique and very addictive. The final track, Revolution, is a true DJ weapon for the discerning box... abstract percussion and psychedelic grooves with drops big enough to make the Grand Canyon shiver. The Dexorcist provides a seriously upfront remix, darkening the mood and mechanising the drums to give birth to a relentless dancefloor beast. Although the 12" contains the vinyl-only What Situation (to reward you dedicated wax junkies), the digital release follows with a minimal reworking from label boss recycle (London Breakz, Electrofly, Looq), who will return alongside Full Spectrum in early 2010 with RIC007.
