Description of Partysquad Hollertronix 10

While Partysquad may not be a household name in the rest of the world, these guys are positively massive in their home country of the Netherlands. Combining big electronic sounds with hip hop lyrics and beatmaker sensibilities, they've had at least five tracks reach the top 20, won multiple awards, and wreck parties all over the continent. For this release, they're getting back to their underground party break roots four serious bangers.'Pull Up' and'Murderer' draw heavily on Jamaican influence, in a similar style to Major Lazer.'Murderer' freaks out the Barrington Levy track of the same name, and'Pull Up' features an infectious chant that drives the crowds nuts.'Crazy Funky Style' and'Rage' put the Partysquad touch on the enormous Dutch club sound that's been running clubs all over Europe for the last couple years. In the best Hollertronix tradition, this release is pure quality for the club DJ and those that love them. Limited vinyl run in pic sleeve with free mp3 downloads, sure to sell out as fast as all previous EPs in the series have done.

Artist:Rusko
Title:Everyday / Lick The Lizard
Label:Mad Decent
Rusko's first official release of new music since last summer's floor-wobbling album, 'OMG' . 'Everyday' is a huge hands-in-the-air banger, an amazing group of remixes to go alongside it. Netsky pulls off the same trick as Sub Focus did with 'Hold On', turning Rusko's pretty production into an all out smasher. Huge huge tune, but don't sleep on Original Sin's drum n bass remix and the funky garage leaning remix from DJ Q. 'Lick The Lizard' is an in demand collaboration between Rusko and fellow dubstep pioneer Reso, busting out the nasty basslines.
Artist:Toy Selectah
Title:Mex Machine
Label:Mad Decent
Toy Selectah is a certified legend in the world of Latin music. He was one of the founders of the massively influential hip hop en Espanol group Control Machete out of Monterrey, Mexico. These guys went nine-times platinum in South America. He then became a key A&R at the Universal label Machete Music and helped usher reggaeton's global takeover in the mid 2000s. For the past couple of years he's been a touring DJ, killing parties with his distinct vision of dance music, and doing big work as a producer and remixer (with Calle 13, Buraka Som Sistema, Vampire Weekend, Morrisey, Manu Chao and way more). Although he's become primarily known for cumbia, Toy's sound references his whole history and a wide swath of global bass movement. This mixup makes for about four genres that only exist in Toy's head, and each track on the 'Mex Machine' EP gives us a new angle on that world, with five original tracks, each showcasing a different side of the Toy Selectah sound. 'Sonidero Compay' is a big meeting of the minds, featuring the reggaeton king DJ Blass over a proper cumbia beat from Toy. The revs go all the way up to 150bpm territory with 'La Ravertona'. Toy teams up with Mad Decent labelmate Mumdance for 'Anni Riddim', a good example of Toy's personal hybrid land. 'Mex Machine' is a milestone release for one of the most exciting and influential artists coming out of Mexico today.
Artist:Rusko
Title:Woo Boost
Label:Mad Decent
With a huge list of releases and remix productions to his name, and an international bookings diary rammed full into the far distance, Rusko is one of the most wanted selectors in dubstep today, and in 'Woo Boost' he's armed with one of the top-demanded tracks of the moment. Picking serious club and radio play in the last few months, this mighty tear-out tune will finally hit vinyl in the new year on Diplo's Mad Decent imprint, backed up with remixes by Tel Aviv producer and metal band drummer Borgore, newcomer Subskrpt (who also has a remix of Major Lazer's 'Cash Flow' ready to drop), and Institubes' jolting zouk-house hybridiser Douster. Comes in full picture sleeve, with free 320 mp3 download card.
