The first of a pair of limited run 12"s pulling up three tracks from Kromestar's new CD 'Colourful Vibrations', along with the exclusive vinyl-only 'Earthling' . Kromestar is an incredibly prolific producer, whose well known heavy dubwise sound stretches over nearly 50 12"s right back to early releases for Deep Medi and Hotflush in 2006 & 2007. His second solo album 'Colourful Vibrations' is a 12 track set tailor made for anyone looking for dubstep on the deep and souful tip. The sounds Kromestar has created for the album are not dissimilar to the type of atmospheres he executed so well on 'My Sound' in 2008, with loads of pads and swirls, rich basslines, flutes, and well thought out samples to match. The biggest difference this time out is the higher degree of polish, showing that his prodcution skillset is much improved since his debut : each sound on the frequency spectrum has space to breath and enter your ear with ease, while every well rounded track offers crisp, clean production throughout. 'Colourful Vibration' has a variety of moods, but the main focus is Kromestar's genius ability to create ambient, soulful dubstep. There are a few bangers tunes too, as you would expect from this practitioner of the art, but thankfully all contain no pointless sub-wobble whatsoever. Ultimately, 'Colourful Vibrations' is a stunning album that will open up a new chapter in the Kromestar story.
